A story that begins with a high chair

For a long time, I never would have imagined creating a brand of baby accessories.
I worked for ten years at a large software company. I learned a lot there, but over time, I felt the need to find more meaning in my work. I wanted to put people back at the center of my professional life and build a project that reflected my values.
At the same time, an old wooden high chair held a special place in my heart. It was the one from my childhood. It reminded me of family meals, moments of togetherness, laughter around the table, and those objects we treasure and pass down from generation to generation.
When I became pregnant with my first child, one thing became clear: I wanted to pass down this family high chair to him. It was sturdy and full of memories… but much less comfortable than today’s models.
Since I couldn't find a pillow that suited my needs, I decided to make one myself.
Without realizing it, I had just made the very first Timouny pillow.
A few years later, when our second son was born, I decided to turn this project into a full-fledged entrepreneurial venture. I wanted to design products that were useful, durable, and made in France, while respecting both people and the environment.
That day, I wasn’t just making a highchair cushion. Without realizing it, I was laying the foundation for Timouny and a new way of making things.
Why Timouny?
The story behind the name is as simple as it is touching.
When Nathan, our second son, was born , his older brother Maël started calling him “Timouny” on his own . Very quickly, the whole family picked up on this little nickname, without really knowing why.
It has become a word filled with tenderness, closeness, and memories.
When I was looking for a name for my brand, the choice just seemed obvious.
Even today, Timouny embodies everything I want to convey: the innocence of childhood, moments of togetherness with family, and creations designed to last.
